Endwall Condition

A brief description of each endwall option follows.

 

Bearing Frame - Fully Sheeted:

"Post and beam" endwall with endwall columns (wind columns) completely sheeted.

Bearing Frame - Gable Sheeted:

"Post and beam" endwall with endwall columns (wind columns)- The sheets and girts, along with associated fasteners and trim, are removed up to the bottom of the eave strut. The endwall columns will remain. If "Laterally Unbraced" is specified, the endwall columns will be beefed-up (reinforced) to compensate for their unsheeted condition. A gable girt will be included at the base of the endwall panels, along with our standard head trim.

Bearing Frame - Open to Roof:

"Post and beam" endwall with endwall columns (wind columns)- The sheets and girts, along with associated fasteners and trim, are removed up to the rake. Rake trim will remain. The endwall columns will remain. If "Laterally Unbraced" is specified, the endwall columns will be beefed-up (reinforced) to compensate for their unsupported condition.

Main Frame - Fully Sheeted:

A main or "intermediate" frame with endwall columns (wind columns) completely sheeted. You have a choice of "Non-Expandable" (1/2 load) or "Expandable" (Full load).

Main Frame - Gable Sheeted:

A main or "intermediate" frame - The sheets and girts, along with associated fasteners and trim, are removed up to the bottom of eave strut. You have a choice of leaving the endwall columns (wind columns) to the floor,

or having only stub columns with braces (kickers) resulting in a suspended gable.

Main Frame - Open to Roof:

A main or "intermediate" frame - The sheets and girts, along with associated fasteners and trim, are removed up to the roofline. Rake trim will remain. The endwall columns (wind columns) will be removed.

No Frame - Endwall Tie-In:

EXERCISE CARE WHEN CHOOSING THIS OPTION! The entire endwall will be omitted. There will be no frame, girts, sheets, or trim. This option is mainly used for tying to the expandable rigid frame of another building of the same size. To provide tie-in trim a sketch must accompany purchase order.

Ledger Cee - Open to Roof - Attachment by Others:

EXERCISE CARE WHEN CHOOSING THIS OPTION! The entire endwall will be omitted. There will be no frame, girts, or sheets. Only ledger channel will be provided. Please use the "SPECIAL NOTES" section if you want ledger angle or purlin clips instead of a ledger channel. This option is mainly used for tying to a masonry wall. This channel is not structural and must be attached or supported at a maximum of 5'-0 intervals. This distance may be less depending upon loads. Provide a sketch as with any tie-in condition.
