Mansards
For the purposes of ordering, the terms mansard and facade are interchangeable. However, typically mansards are sloped and facades are not.
Specify the projection, face panel, height, and length of the mansard or facade. The length is the length of the mansard on the wall that has a mansard. Corners will be added automatically when mansards are specified at intersecting walls. Also specify the soffit elevation and location (on which wall it is located, and the distance from the LEFT corner of that wall at which it begins).
Note: Mansards/Facades must always begin and end at a column line.
Specify the face panel type and color, and the soffit panel type and color. The mansard is designed only to support normal loads required by code. Special design may be required if additional collateral materials are added. Please contact factory for special pricing.
NOTE: Back sheets for all mansards/facades (if required) will be 26ga Galvalume Plus PBR panels.
Mansards with back sheets include 14ga pre-galvanized parapet gutter. Mansards without back sheets include no parapet gutter. If eave gutter with downspout is specified as the eave condition on a wall with a mansard without backsheets standard eave gutter and downspouts are provided. If eave gutter with downspouts is specified as the eave condition screen on a wall with a mansard with backsheets the standard parapet gutter will be provided with outlets and downspouts. If gutter and downspouts are not specified on a mansard with backsheets parapet gutter will be provided, but not the downspouts.
MINIUM PROJECTION IS 1'-6.
MAXIMUM PROJECTION IS 6'-0".
MAXIMUM HEIGHT IS 9'-0".
Mansard fascia must be 6" higher than the peak on the endwall and 6" higher than the eave on the sidewall.
NOTE: It is the responsibility of the user to be sure the tops of adjoining mansards or soffits are at the same elevation if required.
