Partitions - Longitudinal

A longitudinal partition is one that runs parallel to the sidewall.

NOTE: They do not have to be on an endwall column line.

Indicate whether this partition will be functioning as an exterior wall.  For instance, if you have a longitudinal partition 10'-0" in from the front sidewall, and you indicate an "Open Wall" to remove the front sidewall, the partition is now an exterior wall.

"Distance From"

Specify the distance from the left endwall at which the partition begins.  Specify the distance from the front sidewall at which the partition begins.

Example:

A building is 40'-0" wide (endwall column spacing 2 @ 20'-0")

The building is 100'-0" long, 4 bays at 25'-0"
A longitudinal partition 75'-0" long is in bays 2 through 4
The partition is at the center of the endwall

Data:

Distance From:

Left Endwall                    Front Sidewall
25'-0"                            20'-0"

If the partitions start at the endwall, leave "Distance From" blank.

"Total Length"

Specify the total length of the partition.  Using the example above, you would specify 75'-0".

"Panel Type"& "Color"

Specify the panel type and color you wish to use on the partition you are entering.

"Options"

Specify all of the options you desire on this partition

Sheeting Both Sides - sheets both sides of the partition.  Both sides can be sheeted with a different panel type and color.

Delete Framing - omits all partition columns, girts, etc.  Sheeting, trim, and fasteners remain, unless omitted using other options.

Delete Girts - omits the girts only.  Partition columns, sheeting, trim, and fasteners remain, unless omitted using other options.

Delete Base Condition - omits the base channel at the partition.  No base member will be provided.

Delete Purlin Trim - omits the purlin trim from this partition.

Delete Screws - omits all fasteners from this partition.  This could be used if special screws are needed (i.e. wood screws, oversize screws).
