Roof Panel Options

The roof panel options that are available to you will depend on the roof panel that you select.

The roof panel options are as follows:

Image     UL90:

Indicate if you want a UL90 rated roof.

Wide Tape:

Replaces standard tape sealant with 1" x 3/32" wide tape on the roof. This option is only available with PBR panels.

Eave Icing:

Adds additional screws at low eave and changes roof mastic to 1" x 3/32" (applies to ribbed panels only - this option is not available on Standing Seam roofs).

Finish

Warranty:

Indicate if you need the standard 20-year finish warranty. If this box is checked, the warranty will be sent out upon request, after payment for the building has been made in full. See warranty for conditions and limitations.

Electric Seamer

Rental:

An electric seamer is required for Double-Lok® or BattenLok®. Indicate if you want the seamer rental included in your order. The rental fee will be included for a certain amount of time, depending on the size of the building. This option is only applicable on Double-Lok® or BattenLok®.

Insulation and Thickness:

Indicate if there is no insulation in the roof of the building. However, if there will be blanket insulation in the roof of the building, you need to specify the thickness that will be used. You need to specify the thickness even if the insulation is by others. Indicate if you want the Manufacturer to provide blanket insulation non-reinforced standard white vinyl on one side only. NOTE: The minimum thickness of blanket insulation that Manufacturer can provide is 3". NOTE: If the blanket insulation is by others, and the blanket insulation thickness being provided is not listed, use the next highest thickness, and make a note in the SPECIAL NOTES section of the contract. If insulation other than blanket is to be used or provided (i.e. rigidboard, low-e or facings other than non-reinforced white vinyl) consult the building manufacturer.

Note:

Due to panel design, insulation is required on all Standing Seam roofs.

Note:

Manufacturer does NOT recommend the use of 6" insulation with low clips!

Factory Mutual ratings are available on selected standing seam roofs. Also see Factory Mutual.

Thermal Blocks and Thickness:

This option is only applicable on Standing Seam roofs. Indicate if you want Manufacturer to provide the thermal blocks.

Clips:

This option is only applicable on Standing Seam roofs. Please note the following restrictions:

See the following chart for clip and thermal block selection:

Ultra-Dek®

Fixed Clips - Distance from eave to ridge of 100' or less.

Floating Clips - Distance from eave to ridge of over 100'.

3" Insulation - Low Clips with No Thermal Blocks or with 3/8" Thermal Block or High Clips with 1" Thermal Block.

4" Insulation - High Clips only, to be used with 5/8" Thermal Block or Low Clips with no Thermal Blocks.

6" Insulation - High Clips only, to be used with 3/8" Thermal Block.

Note: Insulation and Thermal Blocks referenced above may be included or by others.

Double-Lok® and BATTENLOK®

Floating Clips Only

3" Insulation - Low Clips with No Thermal Blocks or High Clips with 1" Thermal Block.

Fastener:

Choose either self-drilling or self-tapping. Self-drilling is our standard fastener. The self-tapping option is not available on Standing Seam roofs.

Head Finish:

Choose standard, long life or stainless. Long life fasteners are required if a warranty is required.

Note: We recommend the use of a long-life fastener for all roofing applications to ensure longevity and superior performance consistent with the quality of the roof panels. In addition, Long-life fasteners are REQUIRED if a finish or weather tightness warranty is requested. Roofs without long-life fasteners will not qualify for any extended warranties.

Length: Choose the length of screw you desire. A guide to determine screw length follows:

Note: Screw length is calculated using standard .7# density fiberglass insulation. If the insulation density is greater than .7# a longer screw length is required.
